Welcome to the Texas High School Rodeo Association and Region VIII! Membership is open to all high school students, grades 9 through 12, who meet the National High School Rodeo Association’s grade and conduct qualifications. Members must have passing grades in 70% of subjects. Proof of eligibility is the responsibility of the member and/or parents. Members may join at any time during the year. Region 8 High School rodeos are generally held on the second Saturday of each month, September through February, plus one extra date in September. On two-rodeo days, the first rodeo will start at 9:00 AM, followed by a short break and then the second rodeo.

We are proud of our Region and would like to thank everyone that helped make our Region so great. In 2009-2010, we awarded over $22,000.00 in prizes which included saddles to all first place winners, buckles to all second place winners and various prizes through tenth place. We were also able to award over $14,000.00 in scholarships to our 2010 graduating seniors and $15,000 to our 2011 graduating seniors! We have been able to pay for all State Finals entry fees and stall reservations for qualifying members. We look forward to another fantastic year.
